The first aid training has been further developed. We continue to teach following the concept of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) following guidelines and principles from the highly recognised organisation Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) 1 - where we are a Recognized Educational Partner.
In addition to previous arrangements, we have added several practical parts and practice moments before increasing the individual's skills to look after themselves and their colleagues if someone is injured. The training is done in favour of less theory but more practical exercises.
Tactical Emergency Casualty Care is a methodology with best-practice treatment guidelines for pre-hospital trauma treatment in high-risk environments. The methodology is freely available to all interested parties. These guidelines are based on critical medical experience from conflicts in recent years.
They are appropriately modified to address the specific needs of the civilian population and civilian pre-hospital practice. TECC's guidelines consider the demands of a civilian population: gender, pediatric, geriatric and other special needs, as well as underlying medical conditions and the varied threats travellers, may face.
Aeger Group's instructors are highly professional and have many years of experience working in high-risk environments worldwide and being Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the first aid field.
These are some of the topics covered during the training:
- First aid in risk areas
- Repetition MARCH drill, 1st help
- Measures in the event of burns
- Hypothermia
- Scenario training
- Repetition of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
